Recruiting is all about finding the right candidate for the right position at the right time. Right candidates are like a moving target. You wink for a brief moment of time; you have to start your search all over again. Right positions are no different. You can’t tell your client that it is too late in the evening to work on a position. If you can’t get right into action the sooner the position gets open, your competitors get ahead of you. Worse, your own client becomes either direct competition by spreading the word internally or an indirect competition by reaching out to your competitors. A successful recruiting company builds a robust process that produces consistent results irrespective of market conditions. They achieve this by building a highly competitive recruiting team and rewarding them with top-of-the-line incentives. You can’t make a recruiter recruit for you. A recruiter has to have it in her. Top-gun recruiters have the unfathomable passion to fill in any position, the will of a leading sportsman to beat own record and courage to think out of box. In good times, there is so much demand and so little a supply, yet you have to hire the best available in the market and reengineer them if required to suit the positions. Clients ease the restrictions by being flexible to hire less qualified candidates for the project deadlines they have to meet. It is like a rising wave. In good times, everyone sails well and recruiting companies do good by and large. In the bad times like recession where there is little demand and plenty of supply, time is of sole essence. Be ahead of your competition to beat the bust, else you get busted. You can’t plan in the middle of a crisis. Experience counts, so does planning in advance. Bad times are the true testing period for great recruiting companies to stand out among the rest. Vedicsoft is one of the few successful companies that has transformed from being a good recruiting company to great recruiting company over the past decade. This is no simple feat to achieve especially when they have leveraged the cost effective outsourcing model to the fullest. They have weathered the storms of 2001 bust with sheer focus and determination. Staying on course is the primary key to recruiting success. They mastered this simple art to greater results. Vedicsoft has built a word-of-mouth recruiting model that works. The current recession is bigger challenge to even great companies. Vedicsoft seems to have in it what it takes to ride the wave and stay on course. Vedicsoft is not a pure play recruiting company. They specialize in IT solutions. In fact Vedicsoft is well known for providing turn-key business solutions in Business Intelligence and ERP segments. Go to www.vedicsoft.com to learn more about them. |

If your reading this then your probably in need of some advice on how to find or choose a web developer for your website or web application. Finding a web developer is easier than choosing one of course but finding quality developers is your first task. You can post your project on this website in order to get quotes organized into one online location if you so desire. If you already have a number of resumes and portfolios to look over then you are part way there. Before you start to look over the candidates you should think about what your budget is for your project. Budget is a key factor in deciding who to go with. Price ranges can be anywhere from 10 dollars an hour to 150. The higher priced candidates will most likely be more proficient, they will be able to finish the job faster and when confronted with obstacles be able to solve them more efficiently. One thing you want to avoid with lower priced individuals or companies is signing a contract for a low price and then the developer gets stuck on something and can\'t solve it and then stops communicating with you, and your project gets delayed until you find someone else to finish the project. So try to spend as much as you can, because it is worth it in the long run. But also be careful to not get caught in a money pit. Once you have a budget you can easily weed out those that are too expensive or those that are suspiciously too inexpensive. Next thing to look at is skill level. Make sure they have example sites that are similar to what your looking for. Make sure you ask for references and take the time to contact website owners and ask them how their project went. Try to get the developer to give you a break down of the costs of each requirement you may have for your project. This provides security to you that they are not trying to over charge you for items that may not really take that much time. Ask as many questions as possible about each requirement and how they may go about handling them. Finally make sure you have a contract in place that states price, requirements, time-line, and anything else you may want to stipulate in the contract. You can never be too safe. Note that when paying a web developer they are usually going to ask for 50% deposit on the project to get started. This is normal and should be honored if you have done your homework and found a reliable and skilled developer. Good luck! |

I’m always interested in what people think more frequent spider visits actually do to help you. The spider visits, sucks up some bandwidth, finds all the pages the same as they were the last time she visited, and goes on to the next site. How do you think this affects your website? The problem, as I see it, is that people read info from other sites and then get it mixed up in their heads. They hear that the spiders will visit more popular sites, more often, and think that somehow the spidering MAKES their site more popular. If you are constantly changing your pages to add fresh content, the spiders will naturally visit more often because they don’t want outdated pages in their index. This happens as well if you are constantly tweaking keyword density or changing the page structure or other things that people think they can do to affect their rankings. But all that “tweaking” can lead to incorrect cause-and-effect conclusions. In the meantime, who’s monitoring the sales? Who is tweaking the copy to sell more if all you are ever doing is worrying about rankings? Does anyone know what happens when a searcher actually reaches their site? I suspect most people don’t know why they want spiders visiting more often; they just think it’s a good sign. Or possibly they think the spiders give them a rankings boost every time they visit… I don’t know. Why else are people so concerned about spider visits? Idea is to have fresh content on your page to encourage spider visits and if your page is in the index already and you haven’t changed it, it shouldn’t matter when next spider visit is. It’s not about tricking the engines into thinking your content is fresh. If you really want the spiders to visit often, for whatever reason, then you actually need REAL fresh content. I think the only sensible reason to hope for frequent spidering of a site that isn’t updated often is the desire for the spiders to catch new content as soon as possible after it’s created. |

1. Have compelling content: always make sure you are writing for real people, not just for the search engine spiders. the other reason is nothing more than it will give you a following, people will recommend you to friends and will even search for you through google and the like, this again will get the se’s looking for content written you , oh lastly, choose a pen name that is uniqueso that there is more chance of you and your content being found. This has two benefits, it gives your visitors something that they will want to read, the se (atleast google) knows how long people stay on your site and if they stay a read a good lengthy article of post, this will give you better ranking and will even give you better prices for ebery click you get should you be using adsense on that page. Make sure you update your content frequently (weekly at a minimum and if possible, daily). No one wants to go to a site that contains old information. 2. Start a blog as it is the easiest way to get links (Wordpress is the way to go) Google is the 10,000lb Gorilla. And Google has loved Blogs for quite some time. Need I say more?? 3. Smart marketing; with WordPress you have SEO covered Default WP is good at SEO but specific plug-ins and techniques make it great. I am convinced that Wordpress will maintain a leadership role in the blogosphere for a while to come. Seems that folks who stick with TypePad, etc. do so for niche reasons that I don’t quite understand. If you do go with WP, then make sure you get All in One SEO Pack |

DO IT! 1) Use your target keywords in your Title or the page 2) Use unique keywords in each page, No need to load up each page with 50 same keywords. It’s rather more useful using 4-5 keywords per page and increase keyword density in the content. 3) Always try to link exchange with website that has relative content. Relative is the key here. 4) If you believe your content is not being picked up by web crawlers then check for this weekly on sites like www.websitegrader.com. Keep in mind that Internet has nearly 3 million + search engines and 500k directories. Sometimes they are working so hard, that they simply might just miss your site. 5) Write Original Quality relative content, articles and post/link them to different sites. 6) Spent 20 minutes every day improving your website instead of checking your rankings. Your rankings will not change whether you look or not every day. Time is better spent on improving your website instead of watching it flutter up and down the SERPs. 7) Try to manage entire site content from your homepage. (Give links and Categories from homepage and such) Change your links like Title. For Example (www.xyz.com/page_4.html -> www.xyz.com/search-engine-optimization.html) Meaningful page titles. 9) Daily follow your target keyword. Understand why your competitor is having success at particular keyword and how their site is designed. SEO Don’ts 1) Don’t take back links from sites which has not relative content with yours. Search Engines can quickly detect fake link exchanges. 2) Don’t use spam words in your content in white text on page. These are Black Hat SEO techniques which will get you banned. To Read more about Black Hat SEO Techniques, click here, http://websearch.about.com/od/seononos/a/spamseo.htm 3) Don’t believe anyone who says Top 10 Rank at Google & Yahoo can be achieved in hours or weeks . It’s called optimization. It can take weeks and months sometimes. 4) Don’t Use Automatic Traffic Services. Your Website must have a natural organic Traffic which is important to Search Engines & Directories. To Read more about Natural Organic Search results, click here, http://www.theinternetdigest.net/articles/organic-search-results.html 6) Don’t reply to the SEO spam you get via e-mail. You do not need to submit to 1,000 search engines or 500 directories. You can’t buy 2,000 quality links for $75. And no reputable SEO can guarantee a number one ranking on any search engine for keywords that matter. The kind of SEO company you want to hire doesn’t send out spam. The crawler-based search engines will find your site more quickly as soon as you get a link from another web site already being crawled. Search engine submission died a few years ago. Search Engine Optimization, or SEO is the driving force keeping web space domains alive. Every website today has the aim of monetizing their content thus adhering to the SEO guidelines is imperative. By doing this, it will keep the page ranking near the top of a search engine. However, the search engines are particular in how you optimize your website. They (search engines) want you (your website) to be visible to as many people as possible, after all that is how they make their money. Though, at the same time they use an algorithmic compulsion to extract information and shift trends. Example: Google’s spiders or bots. These are automated programs which can take text of each site they crawl and make it available to the search engine. This is called indexing. The downfall being: these spiders or bots are only programmed to read text (html) which will limit design. Images or elements that do not carry alt text tags will not be crawled by these programs. Google has developed software to help the user see their Google visibility and web developers can adjust the site accordingly. If you are looking through Google’s SEO (Search Engine Optimization) you will notice that website ease of navigation is important. It’s imperative that there is at least one static link for each page on every page. Google is very strict about all your site links, make sure that they are all working and that there are no dead links. Under no circumstances should you have an active link to an ‘Under Construction’ site page. Websites are meant for human traffic hence Google states SEO firms need to prepare a linear and hierarchical order of content; easily navigated through generic, sub niches, and etc. In any search engine you will find that like Google, it is suggested that the readers are the most important role in the search engine and website coexistence. Content needs to be unique, in order to engage the human aspect of SEO. Pages should not be infused with excessive keywords which tends to be the biggest trend right now. Top search engines understand that keyword placement is the best method for rising up your PR or Page Rank. However, do not overdo it. Your potential readers will be frustrated and the search engines that crawl your website might penalize you. Read more about it here Http://www.SearchReadySeo.com |

Will SEO help Save Advertising/Publishing ? At the Search Engine Strategies conference in San Jose, SearchReady attended the session on how SEO can help save the publishing industry, a quite interesting topic, considering the controversy the industry has been experiencing of late. Do you think SEO can help publishers save their businesses? Share your thoughts here. The session looked at challenges, tactics, and opportunities unique to online publishers. It covered solutions for technical obstacles, duplicate content and CMS issues, writing keyword rich headlines, training the editorial staff and updating the publishing culture from print to online. Essentially, the session was designed to educate participants on how to save jobs by leveraging SEO, driving traffic, and putting ad dollars back in publishers’ pockets, as described by SES. Few Tips that can help busiess drive traffic to their websites Spread the SEO Excitement in Editorial Find SEO champions in the editorial team Make Editorial Part of the Success Create SEO friendly article headlines. Show the value of SEO Set goals and show how you will beat them. Showing Data is the key to your success (Graphs, Web Trends/Analytics, Success Stories and such) Conduct Regular Training (Engage external SEO editorial consultant) We are not sure if SEO can help save Advertising or not however it can definitely help. Online media marketing is the way that standard advertising and marketing techniques seem to be evolving, and SEO is so closely linked to this that it must be able to benefit publishers. I believe to a certain extent, My Question is stated incorrectly. The problem is not whether or not SEO can help the publishing industry, but if the publishing industry wants to be helped by SEO. There is a fundamental problem with the publishing industry. They do not get exited by numbers alone. But SEO and SEM in general, is a numbers game. A marketing director needs visuals to show of to his or her directors. A sheet full of numbers without any hot good looking visual material just doesn’t get you many points. Even though they are in the end judged by the end result in numbers, a complicated presentation about numbers doesn’t do it in many companies. Besides that, SEM is always a combination of the very technical and marketing, and unfortunately, those 2 worlds hardly ever fit in one brain. So you have 2 completely different worlds trying to reach the same goal with totally different methods. In rare cases there are people that understand a bit of both worlds and in even rarer cases they are in the right position in a company to make the 2 worlds work together. When you do have the lucky situation of these 2 worlds working together, the end results are amazing. Website owners are starting realize the value of promoting sites and making page interactive. Smart SEO promote websites in a right way. Ethical SEO do not misguide visitor. Conclusion: We can not say that SEO can save publishing industry instead it is more better that it can help publishing industry. however when it has been done in the right way. Why do I bring up expiring domain names you ask? Because anyone who owns a domain name should know this information, especially if you own multiple domains or happen to take care of renewing domains for your clients. First of all if you let a domain name expire thinking you will be able to register it soon after with another registrar you are mistaken. There are several levels of expired domain name statuses. The first status is your good old expired domain name. At this time a domain is expired and is still eligible for renewal by the owner for a time frame of around 30 days. Some registrars may let it go as far as 45 days. The price to renew is still the same as if the domain was not expired. This is the best time to renew the domain name if indeed it gets to this point and you still want to keep the domain. The second status is the redemption period. This period lasts another 30 to 45 days. During this time you can still renew your domain but it will cost you! If you want to keep your domain you will have to fork over whatever the registrar decides on for the price. I have seen this price from 80 to 250 dollars and I am sure it can go up from there. At this point some may say well I will just wait until it expires out of this status and the registrar lets it go back into the pool of names. But you have to be careful here because if someone else back orders the domain then right when the domain gets deleted then it becomes available and whoever has back ordered it will snatch it up. You never really know if the name is back ordered or not. If you have a domain name that generated traffic at one point or is worth something in search engines then you may be in trouble because there are people on the prowl for these types of domains that they can use to their advantage. So my advice is if you want to keep your domain never let it expire, and especially never let it go into the redemption period. It can cause some headaches for you. Now that everyone is running to their registrars to see when their domain name expires I will leave it at that. This article is just an overview of the process of expired domain names. Depending on the registrar there could be other phases of expirations. If you would like to add to this article content, comment below and let's hear your story from specific registrar's policies. Do you have a registered domain name? If you do you may have received in the mail solicitation to renew it. Some people may just cut a check and be done with it. Be careful because some companies are sending out renewal letters to domain holders that are not registered with the company sending out the letters. This is a trick I have seen being used by companies that I am not going to mention here. The reason for this article is to inform you that you should always make sure that you are paying the right company when renewing your domain name. Most people know who their domain registrar is and most people will get emails when it is time to renew. If your one of those people you probably don’t have anything to worry about. Usually when these companies send out the letters they are sending them several months in advance so as to get you before you get your regular email renewal notice. Also at the top and on the outside of the letter it will say domain name expiration notice. If you don’t read the notice it looks like a renewal notice from the company that already administers the domain. The whole notice is very misleading but it also has information related to transfer of the domain name from your current registrar. The price for renewal is also more than 3 and half times more than what you could be paying for your domain name. Normally you should only be paying 10 dollars or less for a domain name. If you have any more questions about domain or hosting questions feel free to send me a message. Be safe! |
